Website Redesign and Migration Without the Traffic Drop
We redesign sites and move them between hosts, platforms and domains with the search equity, analytics history and content you have built kept intact. Every URL is mapped, every redirect is tested and the switch happens without downtime.
Website Redesign & Migration
Redesigns and migrations are where many sites lose traffic they took years to earn. The design gets the attention, while the details that protect rankings get rushed: old URLs left without redirects, pages quietly dropped, titles and internal links changed, analytics tags missing on launch day. The traffic drop shows up a few weeks later and is hard to reverse.
We run migrations from an inventory, not from memory. Before anything changes, we crawl the current site and combine that with Search Console, analytics and backlink data to list every URL that has traffic, rankings or links. Each one is mapped to its new home, content is carried over or deliberately consolidated, and 301 redirects are written and tested in bulk. Analytics, tag manager, conversion tracking and Search Console verification are moved with the site so reporting continues without gaps. For host and platform moves, we build and test the new environment in full, lower DNS TTLs ahead of time, sync content up to the last minute and cut over at a quiet time, so visitors never see a broken site.
One of our larger projects merged two ecommerce sites, including memberships and an LMS, into one domain, with all reporting tools in the green after launch. Whether you are changing design, CMS, host or domain, or several of these at once, we plan the move so you can measure the result instead of guessing.
What You Get
Content inventory
A full crawl plus Search Console, analytics and backlink data, showing every URL with value and what should happen to it.
URL mapping
A one-to-one map from old to new URLs, with decisions on consolidation and retirement agreed with you before launch.
301 redirects
Redirect rules written at server or plugin level, tested in bulk before and after launch, with redirect chains and loops removed.
SEO element carry-over
Titles, meta descriptions, headings, structured data, internal links, image alt text and canonical tags preserved or improved on the new site.
Analytics continuity
Analytics, tag manager, conversion events and Search Console properties moved and verified, so reporting continues without a gap.
Zero-downtime cutover
The new environment is fully tested first, DNS TTLs are lowered in advance, content is synced at the last moment and the switch happens at a low-traffic time.
Our Process
Inventory and plan
We crawl the site, gather data from your tools and agree the migration plan, URL map, timeline and fixed price.
Build and migrate on staging
The new design or platform is built, content is moved and redirects are prepared on a staging environment you can review.
Pre-launch testing
We test redirects, forms, tracking, speed and indexing settings, and confirm robots.txt and noindex settings are correct for launch.
Cutover and monitoring
We switch over, submit sitemaps, monitor Search Console, 404 logs and analytics closely and fix any gaps that appear.

We pick tools for your project, not the other way round. If you already use a platform, we work inside it.

Ongoing INP, LCP and CLS work moved 30 pages out of the red in Search Console and keeps PageSpeed, GTmetrix and Search Console reports green through theme and plugin changes.
Website Redesign & Migration: Questions Answered
Will my rankings drop after a redesign or migration?
Some short-term movement is normal while search engines process the changes. Lasting drops usually come from missing redirects, removed content or broken internal links. We cannot promise rankings, but a careful URL map, tested redirects and preserved content remove most of the risk, and monitoring catches problems early.
What affects the cost of a migration?
The number of URLs and content types, whether the design is changing as well as the platform or host, how much content needs restructuring, ecommerce or membership data, and integrations that have to move with the site. A host move for a small site is simple. A platform change with thousands of URLs is a larger project.
How long does a migration take?
A straightforward host move can be done within days. A redesign or platform migration usually takes several weeks, mostly for building, content and testing. The cutover itself is short. We schedule it for your quietest time and plan the timeline in writing.
What access do you need?
Admin access to the current site and hosting, the new hosting or platform account, DNS access or someone who can make DNS changes, and access to Search Console and analytics. If backlink data is relevant, access to an SEO tool you use helps; otherwise we use ours.
