React and Next.js Websites and Web Apps

We build websites and web apps with React and Next.js when the project calls for it: interactive interfaces, app-like experiences or content that needs to reach several front ends. We will also tell you when a simpler build would serve you better.

React & Next.js Websites

React and Next.js are excellent tools, and they are also easy to choose for the wrong reasons. A marketing site with a contact form rarely needs a JavaScript framework, and going headless adds hosting, build pipelines and a separate front end to maintain. When teams pick the stack before the requirements, they often end up with a site that is harder for editors to use and no faster than a well-built WordPress theme.

When React is the right call, the benefits are real. Next.js lets us render each page in the way that suits it: static generation for content that rarely changes, incremental regeneration for catalogs and blogs, and server-side rendering or React Server Components for personalized or live data. Content can come from headless WordPress through the REST API or WPGraphQL, so editors keep a familiar admin, or from a custom API or headless CMS. Sites deploy to Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare or your own Node hosting with preview builds for every change.

We start every project by writing down what the site must do, who edits it and what data it shows, then recommend the architecture. Sometimes that is Next.js on headless WordPress. Sometimes it is a standard WordPress build with a few React components where interactivity matters. You get the reasoning in writing before you spend money on either.

What's included

What You Get

Architecture recommendation

A written assessment of whether React and Next.js fit your project, which rendering strategy each page type needs and where content should live.

Next.js front end

A typed React codebase using the App Router, server components where they help, and client components only where users interact.

Headless WordPress or custom API

Content pulled from WordPress via WPGraphQL or the REST API, a headless CMS or your own API, with preview mode so editors can see drafts before publishing.

SEO and rendering

Server-rendered or static HTML for every indexable page, metadata and schema generated per route, XML sitemaps and correct canonical tags.

Performance from the start

Optimized images, font loading, code splitting and caching headers configured so Core Web Vitals pass without a cleanup project later.

Deployment pipeline

Git-based deployments to Vercel or similar hosting, preview URLs for every branch and environment variables managed securely.

How it works

Our Process

01

Requirements and architecture

We document features, data sources and editing needs, recommend an architecture and agree scope and a fixed price in writing.

02

Design and component plan

We design key screens and break them into reusable components so the codebase stays consistent as it grows.

03

Build with previews

Every feature is built on a branch with its own preview URL, so you can review real pages throughout the project instead of waiting for a big reveal.

04

Launch and hand over

We connect the domain, check rendering, metadata and redirects, then hand over the repository, documentation and access to every service involved.

Deliverables

  • A written architecture recommendation with rendering strategy per page type
  • A Next.js codebase in your Git repository with typed, documented components
  • Headless CMS or WordPress configuration with preview mode working
  • Deployment on Vercel or your chosen host with preview builds enabled
  • SEO setup covering metadata, schema, sitemaps and canonical tags
  • A README covering local setup, environment variables and deployment

FAQ

React & Next.js Websites: Questions Answered

Is a React or Next.js site better for SEO than WordPress?

Not by default. Search engines care about fast, well-structured HTML, good content and clean URLs, which both can deliver. Next.js does well for SEO when pages are statically generated or server-rendered. A client-side-only React app is harder to index, which is why we avoid that pattern for public content.

What affects the cost of a Next.js project?

The number of unique page types and components, how much interactivity and custom logic is involved, the content source and whether it needs setting up, authentication, and any third-party integrations. Headless WordPress builds also include configuring the WordPress side. We agree a fixed price for a defined scope.

Where will the site be hosted, and what does it need?

Most Next.js sites run well on Vercel, Netlify or Cloudflare, which handle builds and global delivery. If you use headless WordPress, that also needs ordinary WordPress hosting. We set up both, keep accounts in your name and explain the ongoing hosting costs before you commit.

Can my team maintain the code after launch?

Yes. You own the repository, and we write TypeScript with clear component structure and a README that explains setup and deployment. If you do not have developers, we can maintain it for you, and because content lives in a CMS, editors rarely need to touch code at all.
