React Native App Development for iOS and Android
We build iOS and Android apps from one TypeScript codebase with React Native, using Expo where it fits and native code where your features need it.
React Native Apps
Building two separate native apps means two codebases, two sets of bugs and often two teams. For many products that cost is hard to justify, especially at launch when the goal is to learn what users want. React Native lets one codebase render real native components on both iOS and Android, so features ship to both platforms together.
We write React Native apps in TypeScript and usually start with Expo, which handles builds, signing and many device features, and lets us add custom native modules in Swift or Kotlin when a feature needs them. Over-the-air updates through EAS Update let us ship JavaScript fixes and small changes without waiting for a full store release, within Apple's and Google's rules. Where the app needs something Expo does not cover well, we use the bare workflow and write the native code ourselves.
React Native is a particularly good fit if you already work with React. Our founder, Muhammad Moin Razzaq, has built React websites and APIs for years, so components, state management and data logic can follow the same patterns as your web app, and in some cases share code with it. We will also tell you plainly when native or Flutter would serve you better.
What You Get
Discovery and design
User flows, wireframes and an interface design that respects iOS and Android conventions where they differ, such as navigation, back behavior and system dialogs.
TypeScript React Native build
One TypeScript codebase with typed API clients, clear state management and reusable components, structured so a React developer can pick it up later.
Expo where it fits
Expo and EAS Build for builds, signing and device features such as camera, notifications and secure storage, saving setup time without locking you in.
Native modules
Custom native code in Swift and Kotlin for features not covered by existing libraries, such as specific SDKs, hardware access or performance-critical screens.
Over-the-air updates
EAS Update or a similar service configured with release channels, so JavaScript fixes reach users quickly while larger native changes go through the stores.
Store release on both platforms
App Store and Google Play listings, testing through TestFlight and Play testing tracks, and submission to both stores.
Our Process
Fit check and estimate
From your brief, we confirm React Native is the right choice, flag any native work and return a fixed-price estimate.
Design
We create user flows, wireframes and interface designs for both platforms and agree the feature list.
Build and test
We build in milestones, sharing builds on real iPhones and Android phones through each platform's testing tools.
Launch and handover
We submit to both stores, set up over-the-air update channels and hand over code and documentation.
Deliverables
- Feature spec, user flows and interface designs for iOS and Android
- React Native source code in TypeScript, in a repository you own
- Any custom native modules, documented
- Configured build, signing and over-the-air update pipeline
- Apps submitted to the App Store and Google Play under your accounts
- Handover guide for building, updating and releasing the app
Tools & Platforms
We pick tools for your project, not the other way round. If you already use a platform, we work inside it.
React Native Apps: Questions Answered
When should I choose React Native over native or Flutter?
React Native suits apps that need both platforms on one budget, especially if you or your future developers know React. Native is better when you rely on the newest platform features or need maximum performance. Flutter is a strong alternative if you want a highly custom interface that looks identical on both platforms. We recommend based on your features and team, not habit.
Can over-the-air updates replace store releases?
Only for some changes. Over-the-air updates can change JavaScript code and assets, such as bug fixes, text and small interface changes. Anything involving native code, new permissions or a significant change to what the app does still goes through App Store and Google Play review, and both stores have rules about this that we follow.
What drives the cost of a React Native app?
Mostly the number of screens and features, the backend behind them and how much custom native code is needed. Apps that stay within Expo's capabilities are quicker to build. Complex animations, offline sync, payments and third-party native SDKs add time. We fix the price from your brief before work starts.
Who owns the code and store accounts?
You own the repository, the Apple Developer and Google Play accounts, and the Expo account used for builds and updates. We work as invited team members. If you later hire an in-house React developer, the TypeScript codebase and handover guide are designed so they can take over.
